Meet Mrs. Weyher

My name is Kristine Weyher.
This is my fifth year at Park Lane.
I have 12 years of teaching experience,
8 years with Glenpool Schools
and 4 years in Broken Arrow.
During my time at Glenpool,
I taught kindergarten for three years
and had the opportunity to
implement the full day program.
I also taught first grade for five years.
My decision to change school
districts 4 years ago was a difficult one.
I built a wonderful reputation in the
Glenpool Community and greatly
enjoyed all of my time there.
Broken Arrow is my home and
has been for over fourteen years.
When my daughter prepared for her educational journey,
I felt it was time to be closer to home.
I have had wonderful students and parents
since I started teaching at Park Lane and
I am excited to be teaching full day kindergarten again this year.
I look forward to sharing in
your child's educational adventure!
I was born and raised in Tulsa.
I am a graduate of
Booker T. Washington High School.
I received my Early Childhood Education
degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1994.
In December of 2006, I became one of only three teachers
in the Broken Arrow School District to achieve
National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist. (The other 2 also teach KINDERGARTEN at PARK LANE!)
One of my proudest moments as an educator was becoming an NBCT!
I have been married to
my husband, Todd for over 14 years.
Todd is an airline technician
for American Airlines.
We have two daughters.
Katherine Elizabeth is 8 1/2 years old
and will be in 3rd grade this year at Park Lane.
Our newest addition is Emma Grace who was born in April 2006.
We also have a dog, Kody.
Teaching is my passion!
I love it!
I can't picture doing anything else.
I want each student to feel
comfortable at school and
feel like they really
know their teacher!
Learning should be fun
and I try hard to make
each student feel special!
Some of my favorite things are
hot tea in the morning,
baking chocolate chip cookies,
playing with my girls, shopping,
playing on the computer,
getting together with friends, sunsets,
church friends, candles, holidays,
watching children learn,
spending time with my family
and traveling.
