Our European Adventure... A dream come true!
There are times in our lives that we hold on extra tight to… those times and events we try to make stand still so we can grasp the true reality we are in. Our learning trip to Europe was certainly not a vacation by any stretch. We were on the go for 17 days straight days, trying to fit in all we could each day to bring the experience home to our peers and our students. There have been few moments in my life like those 17 days I spent with Kelly immersed in culture of three different countries. It was magical, at times unreal and truly life-changing in so many ways.
I am blessed to have had the opportunity to travel abroad but honored to have traveled that journey with my co-teacher, who I consider my God-given sister. We, both, came away from the experience richer people and there is no price on that. Thank you Fund For Teachers for making my BIGGEST dreams come true, not once but twice in this lifetime!

Our Fund For Teachers Grant Checks!

We flew to Washington D.C from Tulsa and then to London.

Big Ben was amazing in person!
We saw those HUGE stone @ Stonehenge!
Afternoon Tea at Harrod's in London... PRICELESS!
We traveled from London to Paris on the Eurostar... with service in the Chunnel!
Felix the rabbit went EVERYWHERE with us!
The Arc de Triomphe was breathtaking! The views from the top are the best in Paris!
The Eiffel Tower was all we dreamed it would be!
We spent a day at the palace in France!

Kelly and I LOVE the author, Annette Langen. She is a German author who writes about Felix, a traveling rabbit. Her books were the inspiration for the grant.
We met in Cologne, Germany and spent the day with her. It was an experience that is truly unforgetable!

We visited a primary school in Munich. We learned about education practices in Germany and how they differ from the United States.

We took an amazing castle tour in Germany and we traveled on the Autobahn!

We climbed a mountain to see this castle... totally worth it!

Being away from our families for 17 days was very hard but worth it! I will never forget our adventure in Europe.
We now share a closer bond than ever before and memories that will last a lifetime!
We are blessed!
